THE DOMESTIC HOUSE COVERS PUBLISHED BY YAKK HAVE REACHED THE EIGHTH EDITION

In the eighth episode of the Domestic House Processing series, there was room for 14 things in an hour.

We talked to Domagoj Jakić, better known by the alias Yakka, who gave us more information about the selection for Domestic House processing Vol. 8:

Full Ferry is present this time with as many as three things – they are not even remixes, but the album he made in collaboration with Bruns Lay. It’s interesting because it’s in our language and completely housey, so it fits in perfectly. Sometimes famous Croatian musicians are sampled there, so it makes perfect sense to be included in this project.

There are some other great remixers out there. I would single out Benjamin Milić, whose covers I regularly include and whose deep, soulful vibe appeals to me. KAANE is also often included in sets, so this time too. He does great things.

As always, this set format is not limited to a specific house subgenre but brings different styles. Sometimes, the remixes are not something I would typically spin out on the street, but I still have no problem mixing them into a meaningful whole. Through these sets, I am guided by the fact that the sets are “in key” and float. The project emphasizes gathering “everything good” from the remix scene and thus promotes local/regional music and the remixers themselves.

Two more sets have been announced, rounding off the number 10 and closing the season. There is still more material so that I might release some similar material later.
