A HISTORIC MOMENT FOR ZAGREB’S SCENE: HERNAN CATTANEO IN ZAGREB FOR THE FIRST TIME TO MARK 25 YEARS OF FUTURE SCOPE
The long-awaited moment for lovers of refined electronic music has finally arrived — the legendary Hernan Cattaneo is coming to Zagreb for the first time in his thirty-year career! Known worldwide as “El Maestro,” this Argentine visionary will perform at Boćarski dom on May 22, adding a special touch to the 25th anniversary celebration of Future Scope, Croatia’s leading clubbing brand. Although the Argentine DJ and producer has visited the Croatian coast in previous years and performed at prestigious summer festivals, his debut appearance in Zagreb marks the event of the season and a turning point for the local progressive house scene.
This year, Future Scope is celebrating a quarter of a century of existence, and through its top-tier productions it has hosted nearly every major name in global electronic music, from Jeff Mills and Richie Hawtin to Boris Brejcha, Paul Kalkbrenner, and Charlotte de Witte. As the crowning moment of this silver jubilee comes Cattaneo himself — an artist whose name has become synonymous with flawless selection, deep emotion, and marathon sets that take audiences on unforgettable musical journeys. His path from a residency at the iconic Clubland in Buenos Aires to global stardom under the wing of Paul Oakenfold remains one of the most inspiring stories in dance music, and Zagreb will now finally have the chance to experience that magic live. In addition to being the first South American DJ to conquer the world and spending ten consecutive years in the DJ Mag Top 100, Cattaneo has, through his Sudbeat label, become a mentor to generations of new talent, refusing to follow trends in favour of pure artistic quality. His performance at Boćarski dom will be a fusion of melodic techno and progressive house, with support from standout local names who are an essential part of Future Scope history — Lemon, Marko Felinger, and Shipe. This kind of lineup sets a high bar for the anniversary edition, offering the audience a rare opportunity to experience world-class production in synergy with the strongest names on the regional scene.
That Zagreb has been eagerly awaiting this historic performance is also evident from the fact that all early-bird tickets sold out in record time. First-release tickets are currently on sale for €25, while VIP tickets for those seeking a more exclusive experience are available for €50. The organisers have also secured a special “Take 5, Pay for 4” offer available through Entrio, inviting all generations of dancers to join this jubilee celebration. Do not miss the chance to be part of history on May 22, when Future Scope and Hernan Cattaneo will together write a new chapter in Zagreb’s club culture!
