A public call for organizers has been opened as part of the second season of the AJMO! Project, implemented by the Croatian Music Export Office (We Move Music Croatia) in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia. The invitation is open from July 1 to August 1, 2025.
Evenly developing concert activity and strengthening the Croatian music scene, especially in smaller towns and outside the summer months.
Increasing the accessibility of concerts and encouraging local audiences.
Co-financing of organizers and creation of a network of concert promoters outside the big cities (Zagreb, Split, Osijek, Rijeka).
Who can apply?
The public invitation is intended for concert organizers, including public institutions, associations, commercial companies, independent artists, and craftspeople.
The organizers are obliged to design and register a program of four independent concert events in the autumn-winter period, which must not be part of the festival.
Financing:
- Each of the 10 selected organizers will receive 10,000 euros for the realization of four concerts,
- The funds are intended exclusively for concerts outside the mentioned big cities.
Performers:
- 370 musicians applied for this year’s competition for performers, which is 20% more than last year,
- The performers are divided into four strong groups, and the organizers choose one from each group for their program.
Organizer selection criteria:
- The ambition and quality of the plan
- previous experience
- encouragement of the local community and audience
An independent commission evaluates applications, and the results will be announced in September, as part of the SHIP festival.
Applications are submitted via official channels of the Croatian Music Export Office (We Move Music Croatia).
The AJMO! provides significant financial and organizational support to concerts in smaller communities, intending to decentralize and strengthen the local music scene. Applications are open until August 1, 2025, and all interested organizers are eligible to apply for funds and participate in this nationally significant project.
