Burn Out is a music program and festival launched by Tvornica kulture to strengthen and promote the independent and regional music scene. A collaboration with the record label Croatia Records has further enhanced it. The program is intended for all performers – whether they have already published music or are still in demo bands – who want to perform at Tvornica kulture, participate in a vinyl compilation, and further promote their music.
Goals and opportunities offered by Burn Out:
- Concerts in the Small Plant of Culture Factory: A chance to perform in front of an audience and promote original music,
- Vinyl compilation: Selected artists participate in a vinyl compilation published by Croatia Records,
- Burn Out festival: Performance at the festival in Veliki Pogon, which gathers the most interesting new forces of the domestic scene,
- Recording in Croatia Records studio: Possibility of professional recording of material,
- Support for big bands: An opportunity to perform as an opening act for established performers at Tvornica kulture,
- Promotion: Through the channels of Culture Factory, Radio Factory, CMC Television, and Croatia Records.
To participate, it is necessary to send:
- Link to audio or video recordings,
- A short biography,
- At least one photo,
- Links to social networks,
- Contact information (name, surname, email, mobile phone),
- Confirmation of a minimum of 30 minutes of rehearsed concert material, of which at least 50% must be original music (performers with more original songs are preferred).
Applications are submitted via email, and the deadline for submission is August 15th. An expert committee will then select the highest-quality performers.
Burn Out has already hosted numerous performers, including Klinika Denis Katanec, Šiza, Šarena Pojava, Mave brojim, Klotljudi, Romani Ita Dom, Jet Black Diamonds, and others. The first edition of the Burn Out festival was held on November 8, 2024, at Veliki Pogon of Tvornica Kulture, featuring a lineup of the most interesting representatives from the independent scene.
Tickets for the festival are available at an early-bird price of € 10, and the regular price is € 12, making the event accessible to a broader audience.
Burn Out, in collaboration with Tvornica kulture and Croatia Records, serves as a vital platform for the development and promotion of emerging musical talents, providing them with professional support, performance opportunities, publishing opportunities, and visibility on the national scene.
