After a decade of dedicated activism, as they say, in which they used their own bodies to defend rural roads in Bulgaria, prevent and warn against inhumane livestock farming conditions, and promote a vegan culture of living, Baby Dooks and Marko Lasić Nered have joined forces again.
This time, the occasion is, as they say, the seriously frivolous “Baby Nered” project. It is a new album that, they believe, has everything – from brutal beats to messages that could greatly help the local security council. For them, the first single from the album, “Romobil”, is not just a song.
This time, their thoughts on green energy, traffic safety, and the dangers it brings are translated into a musical commentary on reality. It is a musical performance, they explain, an ode to everyday life in which we are all rushing somewhere, often without light, signals, or thinking.
The result is a socially engaged hip-hop track that delivers an important message in a recognizable way, all with a healthy dose of self-irony, raw hip-hop realism, and humor.
